Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Renewed by ABC, Development on Mockingbird Spin-off Slowed

ABC has announced the renewal of several shows for 2015-2016, including a third season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a second season of Agent Carter.
While the reupping of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was not surprising giving the shows steady climb since the second half of the first season, fans were likely pleasantly surprised at Haley Atwell's Agent Carter getting a second season given the somewhat low numbers in viewership.

Another season of Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. will almost certainly lead right up and tie in to Captain America: Civil War, which hits theaters May 6, 2016. While there's no sense of when or where we'll pick up with Agent Carter, the series could realistically take place at any time in the past, filling in gaps in the history of the MCU. With Peggy Carter appearing in Ant-Man, it's possible the next season could jump ahead in time to the 1960s.

While the two renewals are great news for Marvel fans, the night also included a report indicating that development of a proposed spin-off, featuring Adrianne Palicki's Bobbi Morse and Nick Blood's Lance Hunter, has been slowed.

There was no news about the further development of another series, headed by John Ridley, but that's likely good news and the series is still going forward.
