First Look at an Early Captain America: Civil War Synopsis

The beginning of production on Captain America: Civil War, the first of Marvel's Phase 3 films, is drawing closer and as casting calls have begun going out, an initial synopsis for the film has been revealed.

The beginning of production for Captain America: Civil War is closing in, with a start date of April 1st under 2 weeks away. As a result, casting calls have been going out around Atlanta and those sheets have, according to Collider,  had the following synopsis on them:
Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.
As has long been thought, it appears that the MCU version of Civil War will be about registering powers and NOT about identity and it will split the Avengers in two. Without the benefit of seeing Avengers: Age of Ultron, it's hard to be certain who will side with whom, but we do know that we will be seeing Falcon, Black Widow, the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye and Black Panther and are likely to see Maria Hill involved as well. That's not to take into account the heavily rumored first appearance of Spider-Man in the MCU and the possibility that Agent 13, Ant-Man, War Machine, the Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver could show up as well and none of that takes into account we know there will be at least two villains in the film, Frank Grillo's Crossbones and Daniel Bruhl's as yet unnamed villain (though it is thought he'll be playing Baron Zemo). That's more Avengers than the first Avengers movie and this is the film that is leading off Phase 3. Marvel Studios is doing it right, guys.

Stay close and keep an eye out for Marvel's official release on the first day of production. They typically give a set photo and decent cast list, so we may find out who Bruhl will be playing rather soon. I'm curious to see what other names get added to the cast list as I don't think that Mark Ruffalo or Chris Hemsworth are going to be a part of this film. Time will tell...
