Now that it seems he's moved on past post-production of Fast and Furious 7, Vin Diesel is back to teasing Marvel fans about his future plans...
It's been a while since Vin Diesel has spent time teasing Marvel fans, but he's back at it today and this one is pretty blatant: This isn't the first time Diesel, who voiced Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, has teased us about the upcoming Inhumans film. Shortly after Guardians of the Galaxy opened in early August, Diesel made a post to his Facebook account saying "...Marvel thinks I'm Inhuman."
While Diesel has never mentioned a role to my knowledge, the general feeling here is that he will portray Black Bolt, King of the Inhumans, one of Marvel's most powerful and enigmatic figures. It's a wonderful role for Diesel and most fans enjoy the irony of his two MCU roles. Since the official announcement of the film, I've not thought of anyone else in the part of Diesel. I do, however, have a new actor lined up for the pivotal role of Maxiums the Mad, brother to Black Bolt and likely to be one of the film's main antagonists: Eddie Redmayne. Marvel has talked to Redmayne (he tested for the role of Peter Quill before it was taken by Chris Pratt) before and he is about to hit big following his role in The Theory of Everything. While I was high on Benedict Cumberbatch taking the role, he's obviously found another Marvel role for himself, so now Redmayne is my guy and I think he might kill it.
What do you think, Marvel fans? With Inhumans not set to hit theaters until November, 2018, it might be a while before we find out...then again, who says Maximus won't be working with Thanos in the near future or that Black Bolt might not show up before long now that there are some new Inhumans on Earth?
