Rotten Tomatoes has revealed the first official-type synopsis for Josh Trank's upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Hit the jump to see for yourself.
Josh Trank's Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters August 7, 2015 and we have seen little to nothing official from FOX, which is curious considering the increasingly negative feelings from fans towards the film. The following synopsis, found on Rotten Tomatoes, represents the first official-type information about the film to date:
THE FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. So we've got them teleporting somewhere (likely the Negative Zone) and gaining their powers then coming back to fight against a computer-hacking Doom. I've been angry about this film being made from the beginning and I honestly have no plans nor interest to go see it in theaters. Maybe a couple of good trailers could change that, but at this point I'd like to do whatever I can to make sure FOX never makes another Fantastic Four film. Even if Marvel Studios never got the rights back, it'd be best to have FOX stop making these films and messing with iconic, classic characters.
