Avengers: Age of Ultron Set Video Shows Updated Captain America Costume

After a busy week of filming in Italy, Avengers: Age of Ultron has begun production in South Korea. Today, a lucky fan got some video from an action scene featuring Captain America on a shut down stretch of highway, giving us our first look at the Captain's new gear.

Last week's filming in the Aosta Vally area of Italy gave us a lot of great looks at new Avengers Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch and the updated costumes of both Hawkeye and Iron Man. Now with production shifting to Seoul, South Korea, we have gotten our first look at Captain America's new outfit.

The set video shows the stunt double for Chris Evans gearing up and then climbing up the back of a truck on a South Korean highway. While we don't get a great look at the costume, we can see some changes from the one he wore in Avengers, noticeably to the shoulders and head gear.

Twitter user @_NerdyGeek_ was kind enough to capture some screenshots of the stunt double in costume.

The new suit is certainly a lot closer to the World War II suit than the one from Avengers and that's a positive for me. I was not a huge fan of the the gear Cap was sporting during Avengers and I think this updated/modified World War II suit looks much better.

Looking at that shut down stretch of highway, I get why Joss Whedon sent out the apology video (embedded below) earlier this week.
