With so many rumors surrounding Batman vs. Superman, it's almost impossible to keep tabs on them all. The latest has TV star Josh Holloway (Lost, Intelligence) possibly joining the cast. Read on for details.
For a film set to begin production in Pontiac, Michigan next month, there are certainly a lot of holes to fill in the cast for Batman vs. Superman. For the past month rumors have flown about potential characters and additions to the cast, followed by warnings that Warner Bros. is disseminating misinformation in an attempt to source out the information leak in their studio.
The latest rumor comes courtesy of ComicBookMovie.com, where it is reported that Josh Holloway, currently starring in the CBS series Intelligence is up for an unnamed role in the film. The article goes on to speculate that Holloway could possibly be playing Aquaman, but, at this time, there's no reason to believe that is the case.
Holloway built up quite a reputation as a fan-favorite for his role as 'Sawyer' on ABC's Lost and pops up quite often in fancasts for several roles, so it's unsurprising to see his name turn up yet again, especially on the shoulders of his early success in his first leading role on Intelligence. As with all the rumors surrounding this film, we won't have to wait much longer to find out as production is set to begin in just a few weeks.
Super-duper-Latino-scooper, El Mayimbe, has chimed in with the following via Twitter which seemingly dismisses the Holloway rumor:
Josh Holloway. Batman vs Superman. NOT TRUE. The source on that story never heard of the phrase "scheduling conflict." RTRemember that there is a large campaign by WB/DC right now to get misinformation out there...this may be another example of just that.
