Gal Gadot's 3 Picture Deal Includes a Solo Wonder Woman Film

Gal Gadot, who was recently announced as Wonder Woman in the delayed Batman vs. Superman film, has signed a 3-picture deal with Warner Bros.

While the casting of Gal Gadot has been a popular topic among fanboys, it pales in comparison to the legions of fans who have long called for a solo female superhero film. It appears that fanboys are going to have to pick their poison now as it was announced yesterday that Gadot's 3-picture deal with Warner Bros. includes a solo Wonder Woman film.

We know that Gadot will appear in Batman vs. Superman when it hits theaters in 2016 and it's an extremely safe assumption that the third film in her contract will be the long-awaited Justice League film. While I'm not a huge Wonder Woman fan, I do hope that the film they make does her justice. She's an iconic comic book character and, unless Marvel strikes first, will be the first female to appear in her own solo film: no pressure WB/DC. No date was attached to the film, but expect it to be sometime after the Justice League film which should be in theaters around 2017 at the earliest.
