Today's Daily Bugle Scoops Otto Octavius Working for OsCorp

The Daily Bugle's Tumblr site, which is honestly a pretty cool viral promo for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, reported that the rumor mill is telling them that OsCorp is working with renowned nuclear scientist, Otto Octavius. Normally, I don't write up pieces on the viral marketing, however, this piece in combination with two other pieces of info from the past two days, have me doing some thinking.

First of all there's this little bit of loveliness from yesterday's trailer clearly showing the infamous tentacles of Doc Ock.

Then, earlier today, actor B.J. Novak (The Office), in an interview with The Huffington Post, teased his role in the film. When asked if his role was a secret, Novak replied, "No. I'm in a couple of scenes. Yeah, I was never told whether or not I could say. I can say that work at OsCorp. And I am someone from the comic books, someone from the original. So, yeah, I'm somebody. I wouldn't say I'm pivotal, but I'm not an extra either."

With all the speculation of The Sinister Six appearing in this or the next Spidey film, it's quite possible that Novak is playing Doc Ock. The picture above isn't too far off of what he might look like.
