10 Year Old Bruce Wayne to Be Series Regular in Season One of Gotham

Feature Film Casting has released a casting call that gives us our first additional bit of information about the cast DC/WB's Gotham. The show, which is in development for Fox, looks to tell the story of Jim Gordon's rise through the Gotham City Police Department. Earlier this week, Bleeding Cool received some info that the pilot episode would see Detective Jim Gordon investigating a "famous double homicide," which most assumed would be the murders of Bruce Wayne's parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne.

The casting call from Feature Film Casting confirms the above assumption and reveals that a young Bruce will be a series regular:

A 10-year old Bruce Wayne is among the roles that are now being cast as series regulars on the upcoming Fox TV series "Gotham" which explores the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains that made Gotham City famous. Shooting on the pilot episode will get underway in March, 2014 and will center on Gotham City PD rookie homicide detective James Gordon who investigates the double murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne.
At this early juncture, it sounds as if at least this part of the show will take inspiration from Batman Begins. The site does go on to mention that no roles have been cast as of December 6, meaning Fox can still get Kiefer Sutherland for the role of the bi-polar Jim Gordon...that's not quite right, is it?
