Ultimate Collector's Edition of Nolan's Batman Films Available Today

If you are a fan of Christopher Nolan's Batman films then the release of this series all together in one collector's edition is probably something you've been waiting on for some time.  Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises gave us a totally different look at Bruce Wayne's journey as the Batman and, arguably, one of the best movie villains of my life time in Heath Ledger's Joker.  Now you can own all 3 films on Blu, plus a slew of bonus features and some cool toys, by heading over to and clicking on the link below.

The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector's Edition [Blu-ray]

I'm a huge fan of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, much less of a fan of The Dark Knight Rises though, I must admit, upon a third viewing I found it slightly less painful.  Batman Begins is one of the best origin stories told through cinema that I have ever seen.  Bale's take on Wayne, while not entirely different than his take on Patrick Bateman, is wonderful; he's made it tough to see anyone else in the cowl without comparing their performance to his, which is something Clooney and Kilmer never caused me to do.

The Dark Knight remains a wonderfully solid film.  It isn't perfect, and no film ever will be, but it is extraordinary.  The characterization of the Joker by Ledger was dynamic and breathtaking and I have always been forced to wonder what would have been had Ledger not passed on.  This is one of my favorite Nolan films and one of the best comic book movies I've ever seen.  The same cannot be said for the follow-up, which I'm still too confused to write about.  I can't decide if Nolan got lazy or if he did something so great I can't comprehend it's greatness.  Maybe one day I'll solidify my thoughts on that!

Regardless of my thoughts, this set is out there for everyone to pick up if they so desire and for serious collector's this one looks like a pretty cool must!
