High Early Ratings Get Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a Full 22-Episode Season

As the first TV show in the Marvel stable and with a bunch more in the hopper, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D had a lot riding on it.  If it failed early, it may have kept any number of future projects from being developed.  The announcement that the show was greenlit for a full 22-episode season today will prevent fans of Marvel from having to worry about that.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been highly viewed and DVRd in each of its first 3 episodes and is slowly building a corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe full of smaller scale heroes and villains to run next to the more mainstream characters seen in its films with Agent Phil Coulson acting as the bridge to connect both parts.

I've watched each of the three episodes at least twice and appreciate the time Marvel is taking to build up the series and the subtleties involved in the process.  While I know Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has taken a beating in some fanboy circles, that's to be expected.  Haters gonna hate...and some of the people hating were out for the show before an episode ever aired.  I'm glad this series will live on for at least 19 more shows; I'll be happy to revisit my opinion and the opinions of the haters when the show wraps up its first season!
