What's New on DVD and Blu, Episode 6, Return of the HellNaw

A very solid family entry from Dreamworks and one of the best received comedies of the year headline this week in DVD and Blu-ray.

Remember if you fancy any of these films, click on the titles and you'll be whisked away to where you can pick them up!

What's New (October 1)

The Croods (Blu-ray 3D / Blu-ray / DVD + Digital Copy)

I picked up The Croods a couple weeks ago via digital download, which you can do RIGHT HERE: The Croods.  I'm a pretty big fan of Dreamworks' animated films; Megamind is among my favorite films animated or otherwise and is one I can rewatch a dozen times a year.  The Croods is not Megamind but it is a darn good family film will some funny gags that seem to work for all ages (well, at least 5-37).  I've seen it 3 times now and it actually has grown on me and become a pretty great Friday night popcorn with my kids movie.

This Is The End (Two Disc Combo: Blu-ray / DVD + UltraViolet Digital Copy)

This film has comic gold interwoven in its incredible cast and seems to have done what not a lot of comedies do well anymore: received mostly positive reviews from critics (84% at Rotten Tomatoes).  I'm usually a sucker for anything with Seth Rogan...or Danny McBride...or James I'm sure this one won't work for me.  Watching a group of 6 buddies lose it at the end of times has a lot of potential.
