What's New on DVD and Blu, Episode 2: Electric Boogaloo Edition

Here's my 2nd look at what's new in the world of DVD/Blu-Ray and what's next! And, for those of you wondering, anything that's a sequel should, by all means, be subtitled Electric Boogaloo.

What's New:

Pain & Gain (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy)

Wahlberg.  The Rock.  I'm done talking about why you should watch this movie despite a 46% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Great Gatsby (Blu-ray+DVD+UltraViolet Combo Pack) (Rotten Tomatoes 49%)

This story, the quintessential story of the Roaring 20s in America and the opulence that set up the Great Depression, is one that has been told and retold and will likely continue to be told in the future.  I'm always up to see what Leo can do.  A big name cast and a big name director didn't do as much as I would have hoped and I have no clue why this was even released in 3D but, it's worth a viewing.

The Walking Dead: The Complete Third Season [Blu-ray]

Really a great season of TWD...Rick went off the reservation...Carl came into his own...Merle returned and made himself useful...and, of course, we got the sick bastage: the Governor.  This was an awesome season...and season 4 is right around the corner.  A must if you love TWD and/or zombies!

What's Next:

Safe [DVD + Digital Copy]

So...I did not see this movie and, quite honestly, I never will because I have already seen it through the lens of any movie Statham has ever made.  He will be sexy, fight with people and sleep some fools whilst being sarcastic.  He will likely also take off his shirt and show us how buff he is.  So, if you like that and like Statham, give it a shwirl.

The Five-Year Engagement (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + UltraViolet)

This was a funny film...came out last year but I guess this is the first edition with the combo pack.  I liked it quite a it now for the fact that the Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) is in it and plays a good smartass type.  Jason Segel is usually a can't miss for me and this fits that idea.

Fringe: The Complete Fourth Season [Blu-ray]

Pretty much if you love Fringe, you're buying this...who are we kidding.  I will always love Fringe for the very first season when Walter was shocked at the seats in the car warming his bum.
